iXors3d is a younger brother of Xors3d intended for developing games and other 2d/3d applications for iPhone and iPod touch (iPad is supported experimentally). If you are not familiar yet with Xors3d, we recomend to read its overview. In short, it is a quite easy to use and powerfull engine. It's API and entity system were partialy inherited from Blitz3d, which provides its simplicity. We tried to reproduce the flexibility and simplicity of Xors3d in iXors3d. And we belive we did it successfully. For sure iXors3d will help you create new games and port existing ones to the iPhone/iPod touch platform.
iXors3d is written in C++ with some pieces of Objective-C. That's why it is rather fast. However every software is being developed during whole its life, so we assume further optimizations and improvements.
Despite the youth of the engine there are already a few released games powered by iXors3d: "Hawaiian Elephant", "Babylon Tower", "Crazy Checkers". Even we - XorsTeam - have tried eating our own dog food and have written a simple card game "Thousands".
You should be a registered developer to use iPhone SDK and publish your applications on App Store.
iXors3d has a proprietary graphics engine which is based on OpenGL ES. Its performance is provided with optimized written in C++ with some help of Objective-C.
